Oh the Weather Outside is Frightful

If you have to go outside. Thankfully A and I went grocery shopping last night, stood in a really long line to check out, and now are bunked down in our cozy, warm apartment. Almost if not all churches were cancelled this morning. Ours was cancelled last night. It was nice to sleep in, and sleep in I did. I suppose I should take advantage of this blizzard and finish some items on my Holiday To Do List. Sugar cookies and Christmas Cards are at the top, besides Christmas shopping. But again, we won't be leaving the apartment.

Little brother Bugs come over last night and we got come goodies made. Little bro was a big help and it was fun to have him around. I am so thankful he is going to school by his favorite sister :) No pictures this time around, oh well.

Happy Sunday to you and stay warm!

Bean Bags!

Tomorrow we are using the Bean Bag Boards Dad and A put together this fall, for the 1st time! I still have 9 more bags to make, but that should not take long. I am curious to see how the residents respond to bean bags. Supposedly all the other LTC facilities in the area absolutely LOVE beans bags. They have tournaments with eachother even. I find it surprising, but hey I can't stand BINGO either and that is a HIT! So we will see how our lovely men and women react to throwing bags into small holes in the floor. Fun times!

On another note, I can not wait to go home and see my family! Seriously, can't wait. I have way too much that needs to be done before Christmas. But I would push all of it aside if I could have a low key wkd with my fam. Soon I know I will get to go, but my heart is lonesome. So I send a big hug and kiss to those I love! Can't wait to see ya soon!

Love, B

Thanksgiving Weekend

This Thanksgiving Weekend has been really fun! I had to work "Black Friday". I decided to take the afternoon off and shop with my best friend, Mush. We met up with my s.i.l. and we went around town. It was so fun! My favorite stops were Jo-Ann Fabrics and Wal-Mart. Jo-Anns just moved to a new, much bigger location. It is AMAZING! I loved it. And I got a ton of major deals at Wal-Mart! It was wonderful and the three of us had a great time!

In the evening after supper we girls played a game with A. It is called Would You Rather??? And I laughed so hard I was crying. We had a great time and caught some of it on camcorder too.

Today my s.i.l. and I went to work and set up for Christmas. The trees were set up, garland on the mantels, nativity sets out. The residents helped hang the ornaments and straighten the greens of the garland. We had a great time! I will say I am feeling pretty wiped and am taking it easy this evening with the fam. We're watching Home Alone. I need to save some energy for my own decorating tomorrow at home. I love setting up our tree and putting up our
Christmas decorations!

Some things I am thankful for:
Freedom in Christ
My loving husband
My amazing family
My health, my hair
God's multitude of blessings

Holiday Parade

The season has officially began in the FM area! A and I went out to our favorite chinese restaurant for supper and walked around the downtown area. There are many cute, chic stores. It was fun to see them at night. There was even a clothing store with live models, kinda funny.
We found a good spot to watch the parade and visited with A's old choir instructor and his wife. The weather was great. There was a little chil in the air to let you know it is November but other than that, a perfect night! A fun night was had by all! Before the paradeThat bus looks familiar! This one is for Big A

Couch Lover

Tonight I am laying on the couch doing nothing but relaxing. After a very full weekend of crafting I am worn out, tired, and tired. Doesn't help that A worked way way late last night and I never sleep well while he is out. But now A is in bed for the night and I am relaxing away with russian tea and some tv shows. I was suppose to go to a girls night but I just don't feel up to it. Oh well. I will settle for a quiet evening to myself with my hubby close by. Life is good, thank you Lord for blessing me!

Give Thanks

At work today we our afternoon activity was called Give Thanks. I copied multiple leaves on fall colored paper. We cut the leaves out and the residents all were able to write down things they are thankful for. I always do a sample for the residents to see. Thinking about what to write, I thought through many past memories, both good and bad. I have been and daily continue to be blessed greatly. God has been faithful 100%, even during the times when I had not clue how a situation would turn out. God was there carrying me through. My family rocks! I have an amazing husband who gets me, loves me, and is well amazing! My mom, dad, bros. they, well I am speechless. Seriously, I have the best family support! I can honestly say that I love my family, every single one of you with all my heart. I can't imagine not getting along with you. It is so heart breaking to thing some families don't get along. Another thing to be thankful for.

Even with my different health sagas throughout my life it has been good to look back and see how the Lord brought me through and I have learned lessons that I probably would not have learned, had I not gone through it. Thank you God for Your might, comfort, love and protection.

I am thankful that I can plan for the future. There will be many more life changing experiences I am sure. And I am thankful that I am able to look forward to them.

I know that each moment is a blessing and I am excited to make the most of it! I want to live for Christ because this is the life that He has given me to live!

So I am going to be a clown and act goof at times, like this Halloween picture. I was Daphne from Scooby Doo! But it is about enjoying what God has blessed me with, here a sense of humor!

Welcome!

Welcome to the blog world B! My chance to share fun things with family and friends who are close and far away. I hope this works to keep you up to date on our life as we know it. And it will be hopefully another creative outlet besides all the others crafty things I can't get away from :) Happy reading and hope you are staying warm tonight.

It is sure windy in our fireplace. And while getting supper ready, I dumped a good chunk of potato flakes on the kitchen floor. Nice work. After sweeping and shaking the rug outdoors, I must of let a HUGE wasp in. I was sitting on the couch doing work on the computer and I kept hearing this buzzing noise. It got louder and louder and finally I saw it! Right behind me. A. saved the night with our trusty dust buster. How annoying! I figured all bugs were dead by now. Well, he is taken care of. Thanks A!

So here are a couple pics of our most recent trip!
