New Year, New Chapter

As 2010 winds down there is much to be thankful for. Our little family of 3 turned into a little family of 4 not too long ago. It's amazing the difference there is between 3 and 4. It's been a fun challenge learning how to juggle the 2 little ones when daddy's around and when daddy's not around. I feel we've adjusted quite well. Now, this mama has to figure out how to throw work into the juggling routine. And honestly, I am dreading it. I am not ready for it and it makes me so sad to even think about it.

On a more positive note. L and V and growing everyday and doing new, excited things daily. L has started saying "Bess You" when you sneeze, or when she sneezes. It's absolutely adorable!! V is smiling more and more. You definetly have to work for a smile though. She holds them kinda tight to her. But get her to smile and you'll smile too!

L and V got to see both uncles and auntie that live far, far away. I'm so glad they were able to make it home for Christmas! Of course the girls were a bit spoiled but it is fun watching family love on them. I'm a proud mama that's for sure. Here are a few pics that are from Christmas, enjoy!

Growing Inch by Inch

We're growing so big! Both Lucy and mama are getting bigger every day. Lucy is learning so many fun tricks lately. She is adventurous, but cautious when learning her next trick. This past wkd it was learning how to step on something (aka Unca Unca's hand) and pull herself up onto furnture. Thanks Uncle Aa! She is so proud of herself though that I have to encourage her everytime she tries. Luc is also mastering getting in and out of her rocking chair on her own. In fact tonight she would get in and out, and once out she would let go while standing and applaude herself. So cute! Daddy got some great video of Lucy climbing up on the couch and sliding down, getting in and out of the rocking chair, walking and blowing kisses. Each new trick makes me so proud of my girl and how far she has come!

Mama is growing in the belly area. We reached a huge milestone last week, 29wks5days. My body is acting much better this pregnancy. We have less swelling and over all I feel better. I am in week 30 and each day is a blessing. I am not hoping to go early but everyday is one day closer to full term and I feel that we're prepared for whenever this babe decides to come or more likely my body says no more. It's good!

Life is certainly different this pregnancy. There is no time to sit and relax with a little girl as active and loveable as Luc. I wouldn't change it though, the sacrifice is worth it. I wish I were home more with her but A and I try to find a good balance between family and work. We make the most of the time we have together!

You know I do not like touching grass!

One

If there is one thing I want Lucy to always remember, it would be that I love her with all my heart and she has brought so much joy to my life! We reached the turning one milestone and I have loved every moment leading up to big 1! Thank you Lord for allowing me to be Lucy's mama and provide for her here on this earth. It has been an honor and I so look forward to everyday after one. Lucy you amaze me daily and you make me smile everytime I think of your face, your name, your giggles, you are beautiful little one! I love you!

How can you not love this face! I can't get enough of my little cookie monster. Miss L is waiting oh so patiently for mama to finish making all the green beans.

I love Tupperware. This is actually Miss L's first experience of playing with Tupperware. She did a might fine job, chewing, throwing on the floor, chewing some more. You get the picture.

It is go time, the green beans are perfect for a 8 month, 1 day old little girl. It looks like she is excited too!
Ok, maybe not so excited. Don't worry, day 2 went much better than day 1, and day 3 Miss L rocked the green beans!Mama found Miss L and Daddy skipping nap time and playing instead, so mama joined in the fun Check out Miss L's 1st diaper she ever wore, it is teeny tiny compared to our great 8 monther!Miss L is so proud!
Mama was busy working on Miss L's bumper when she looked over and saw the monkey playing on the babe's face. L just looked at me as if to say, "What?! Have I got somethin' on my face?" "No darling, you don't." What a goofy girl, I laughed.
Snugglin' with daddy before bedtime. Melts a mama's heart! The big day has arrived! Papa and Grandpa Great came up for supper and the put together the crib with daddy. Papa made the crib so it is very special. Here they are assembling.
Miss L was too tuckered out for the entire assembly process. In fact she fell asleep 1/2 ways through eating her cereal. Poor girl. I guess a day at the office with mama was tough work.Ta Da! Isn't it gorgeous! I love it, crib and bumper!

The quilt top is done, now to finish the back and binding...Miss L woke up just in time to try out the new crib, ok so she is not sleeping in it til tomorrow but she was in it for a bit tonight. Nightie night! Love, Mama B

Christmas Time is Here

Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year. Here are a few pictures of Miss L's Christmas. There will be more but currently they are on daddy's computer and need to be switched over. It was wonderful spending time with our entire family. That's right, the 2 uncles that live far, far away were home for Christmas and Miss L had a blast with both of them. She (and her parents) are so blessed with family. We want you all to know that we appreciate each of you. Thank you for the love you show our daughter and us. God has been so good to our families. Yes, we have had our ups and downs but God remains faithful, our stronghold and we cling to Him! Thanks Uncle A and Uncle N for being home for Christmas. We love you and wish that we lived closer to you, but we truly treasure the time we do get to spend with you. More will be coming later this week, probably around the new year. Love to you all!
