Christmas Time is Here

Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year. Here are a few pictures of Miss L's Christmas. There will be more but currently they are on daddy's computer and need to be switched over. It was wonderful spending time with our entire family. That's right, the 2 uncles that live far, far away were home for Christmas and Miss L had a blast with both of them. She (and her parents) are so blessed with family. We want you all to know that we appreciate each of you. Thank you for the love you show our daughter and us. God has been so good to our families. Yes, we have had our ups and downs but God remains faithful, our stronghold and we cling to Him! Thanks Uncle A and Uncle N for being home for Christmas. We love you and wish that we lived closer to you, but we truly treasure the time we do get to spend with you. More will be coming later this week, probably around the new year. Love to you all! Getting ready for Jail and Bail on Tuesday. As well as a fun family meeting at work (praying it goes much better than the last one and I was not even at the last one). Enjoy the pics! We send our love to our family :) Love you! A, B and Miss L.
Happy Halloween! This is just another outfit. I wore it to mommy's work and all my adopted gmas and gpas loved me!
Snuggles with mama. Sometimes I sleep best like this.

Sleep or Treat

Miss L's 1st Halloween. She slept at 2 of the 3 places we stopped. And then was up until 11:30pm. Good thing it was end of daylight savings. Mommy forgot her camera so we used Grandma's.

Mama's little mouse, so cute!

Hanging on to the candy for dear life, literally, she would not let go.

Jail and Bail

Happy snowy Halloween! Well, tomorrow is Halloween but it is snowing today. I am not ready for winter at all. Summer was basically skipped because of Miss L being in the NICU and then adjusting to being at home and now it is winter? Well, not officially but snow makes life a little said during this time of year. Oh well. On the positive note Miss L looks adorable in her BOO outfit and tomorrow she will steal the show in her adorable Mouse Onsie. Pics will be coming.

We are completely checked out of our old home. And we should be getting the majority of our security deposit back! It is bitter sweet to be finished with our first home. Life has sure changed in that home, for the better :) But it does feel great knowing I don't have any more resposibility with it. And I can focus on our new home and finish getting settled in. I am hoping to get the rest of the pictures hung on the wall in our living room with wkd!

Last wkd was wonderful! Lucy got to meet her Uncle Nathan for the 1st time. He only saw her while she was in the NICU, through the window. The 2 of them sure hammed it up for the cameras. And it was great to see Auntie Lindsay again! She looked so happy to have her hubby by her side :) We love those 2 so much!! And are praying for you Nathan and Lindsay as Ranger School is at the forefront. We love you!

Miss L is raising money for March of Dimes. She has done well so far getting supporters. She has a ways to go to reach her set goal but we are so thankful for those who have generously donated. Thanks R, T, and C. You are great! If you want to help "Bail" Miss L out of jail you can go to http://jailandbail.marchofdimes.com/lucyhermunslie. Thanks!

Enjoy the pics family and friends! We love you! (the first 2 are for grammie)

5 Months Today

We're in our new place! Last weekend my parents were here and they totally cleaned our old apartment. Thanks Ma and Pa! I owe you humongous time! I still have yet to do the four things they did not get done, but it'll happen.

Life has been good. It's been almost 2 months that I have been back to work and taken on a new position. It's the type of position where you learn as you go. Which is fine, but sometimes it is overwhelming. I feel like I am asking a ton of questions trying to stay ahead of the game. But I like it and am sorta settling in. It's good.
Miss L is doing amazing. She is 5 months old today. Last night Big A was working on some video/picture montage that has music in the background of our little girl. Tears welled in my eyes immediately. My little L is such a miracle. I am awed as to how small she was and how perfect she is. God is truly amazing and He is good! I am reminded daily how blessed our family is to have Miss L a part of it.

So enough chit chat, here are some new pics for the fam to see our babe! She is talking and smiling and even giggling now. She turns herself in a circle while laying on the floor. Last night was the first time I saw her batting at her toys. Sigh. She's awesome! Well, enjoy and love to you all! Love, B
This is Miss L! Be sure to check out my website! It is:
I am doing a fundraiser to help other babes (like myself and their parents) when they have to be in the NICU. Thanks for your donation! A picture is coming soon, hopefully this weekend :)

I will Survive!

Happy Family in our new living room!
Well, the first week back to work was a success. Day 1 began and it did not take long for the systems overload warning bell to start chiming. But I made it through the day. And Miss L made it through the day as well. In fact she did her first art project :) It will be making an appearance in her baby book. L also slept for 4.5hrs that night also!! A huge first and mommy loved it. That is an understatement, I LOVED it. And it has only gotten better as the week continued. In fact last night we got 5 hours of sleep. The kidlets at LD's is wearing Ms L out. I do miss our morning time together. Mornings seem to be Ms L's most active happy time. She has been sleeping half the time as I get her in her carseat to go. Oh well.

Here are some pics that I enjoy. My babe is growing up. She has started to majorly coo and aah and talk. She's a girl and has to get her 30,000 words in a day ya know. She also is smiling and interactively smiling. She is too cute!

2 Weeks Old

My baby girl is now gestationally 2 weeks old! She is doing fabulous too. I am amazed everytime I look at Miss L. She is growing into an active babe. She loves looking around and watching activity. Big A, Miss L and I went to the lake this wkd and my aunt and uncle's grandchildren were there. Miss L just watched them play and I think was interested in making a little action of her own vocally and physically. She is a cutie!

Mornings have become a time of play this past week. Miss L likes laying on the floor and watching her play mate. We also play with her bunny, hippo and rubber duckie. She will look towards the rattle noise and pay attention to it. Miss L has even allowed us to put her in the swing. Too bad the swing only swings when it is empty. I don't get it. Daddy is going to try and fix it otherwise a new swing might be in order. Miss L is also outgrowing her bassinet. I went and priced out pack n plays the other day. Papa is making a crib so we will need something in between the bassinet and crib. Our girl is growing!

Sleep is still an issue, or lack of sleeping in our own beds. I really don't get it! I lay Miss L down and she is awake in minutes. I've been trying out the tummy position during the day when I am by her. That works sometimes but not usually. Something is going to have to change because this mama is going back to work after Labor Day!

Miss L enjoyed her 1st wedding ever. Well, she slept through the majority of it except for when she was hungry. Isn't she adorable in the polka dot dress. I love it!

Uncle A is moving up this wkd for school and we are so excited to have him close by again. I really do enjoy his company and good spirit when he is around. Welcome back Uncle A!

Today

This one is for Grammie

Miss L survived her 2 month shots, why? Because she is NICU Strong!

Pics with the Gmas at L's first baby shower.

Thanks Great Aunt B and Cuz M!

L's Baptism. She did not make a peep until picture time.

Go figure! Uncle W and Uncle Aa are L's sponsors.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Life has been good here. Miss L has been sleeping the nights in her bassinet a lot better lately. I am super thankful for that, I have a new appreciation of bedsheets. Now I just need to keep working on staying awake until L falls back asleep. I do ok until that 4am feeding. L is starting to interact just a bit when you talk to her and play with her. She continues to amaze me with her growth and facial expressions. I love them and cannot get enough of them! I think she is going through a growth spurt because she is eating every 2hrs if not sooner. I hope it's a growth spurt anyways because I feel like I am feeding my girl constantly. Well, the night is going by fast and mommy gets to leave the home for a bit, so I better get a move on. More pics to come. Love you fam!
